Okay, so it's winter

I'm fairly sure it wasn't so long ago we were having a serious whinge about the heat.

Fair enough - it was February.

So now it's June and it's time for a serious whinge about the cold.

It dropped to -0.4 this morning, about 15 minutes before we had to get up at 6.30am to get to Bendigo for a Chiropractor's appointment.

Okay - the sky was spectacular, but there's ice on the ground. Thick ice in some places - I was wading through it to feed the chooks. It was icy, cold and frozen all the way to Bendigo and it's only just looking like it will sneak into double figures.

On the plus side, despite a heavy coating of ice on the hot house this morning, it's 20 degrees in there now.

(Oh and we came home with a trailer full of lovely lovely bare-rooted fruit trees! More on them later).
