We recently got some guinea fowl - early snake warning system / early intruder warning system / the cat's here the CAT'S HERE warning system... the noise is hilarious.

And it's consistent.

Whereas you can hear them from just about everywhere - right now they are outside the window of the room where we both working and there's just this constant buckwheat, buckwheat, buckwheat.. except for when the warning system cuts in. Then there's suddenly a high pitched chatter and the sight of wings and birds flying in all directions.
