Clancy and Jedda can swim

Maybe not voluntarily, but on Saturday we discovered that they both can swim.

Okay - I was only slightly being horrible when we were standing on the banks of the dam and they were both doing that tippy toeing into the dam and then running back out, and I picked up a stone and bounced it up and down in my hand a few times. And Clancy saw me and thought ooooooo game. And when I pitched it into the dam I didn't really think he would be that daft.

But he's an Aussie Terrier. And they can be very very daft.

So he chased it.

When the dam floor ran out he was going full tilt.

The look on his face was priceless as he madly dog paddled around in a big semi-circle and made it back to land.

For some odd reason he couldn't be tempted again.

Now Jedda had watched this with much interest - and she was working the edge of the dam - all the way around - trying to figure out how to get the "toy" that Clancy hadn't got, but she wasn't too confident.

So Adam threw a stick in that floated. Jedda loves sticks.

She dithered.

He threw another stick.

She dithered.

I said "you'll have to throw her in". He took me seriously.

Jedda flew threw the air and landed in a large splash. She dog paddled in a semi-circle and headed back for land.

I really was joking and the sight of her launched into the air scared the daylights out of me - but she seemed to have great fun.

Although she did keep her distance from him at the edge of the dam.

They both dried out in a second and ran around the paddocks happy as.

Didn't go back to the dam though :D
