This weekend

We're spending at Redbank - heading up to do some more of the painting and starting to lay the new flooring.

House Yard

Jedda and Clancy are kind of impressed with this big a front yard - there's plenty of room for frisbee and ball chasing - and they seemed to have a ball when we took them up for the day.

Veggie Garden Yard

It's not hard to see where the original owners of the place had their vegetable gardens set up - the edges of the beds are still visible, although nothing seems to have been planted in here recently. But there's a climbing frame, and there's all sorts of other bits and pieces that will knock into shape really quickly once we get up there fulltime.

Little Garden at the end of the House

Alas there's some conifers planted around the place, which isn't bad necessarily, but they don't provide anything much in the way of edible output or shade. There's a couple at the back of the carport which are growing a little more rapidly so I might leave them there - but some of the ones here, at the front, will gradually give way to some more appropriate shading / native species - flowering to help maintain the bird life in the area.

We are really starting to feel the constraints of the drawn out timing of the move now. The satellite connection is ordered though and once that's in and we know that Adam can work - then sod the preparations that we would like to have done first. We're going. I want to be living in the new place, I don't want to be here.
