Weird Co-incidences

I took a load of stuff up to Redbank today (note to self - tape the bottom of the white boxes you idiot Karen!) to keep the momentum ticking over. Left here late, so I didn't get up there until mid afternoon. Mulched some trees and watered them and then carted some buckets of water around to other areas of the garden that obviously haven't been watered in a long time. Took the camera in case the Lizard made an appearance - but Lizards aren't idiots. It was bloody hot in the sun - I managed to raise quite a sweat and get very red in the face.

So on the way back - about 4.30pm or something, I stopped in Avoca for a cold drink. As I was wandering back to the car I could see a woman standing in the big wide verge in the middle of the highway in Town. Lighting a cigarette. In a manner that could only be my cousin Jude! What the hell was Jude doing in the main street of Avoca - she lives in a mallee town about 1.5 hours away. Turns out she's doing volunteer driving for her local shire and was heading back from Maryborough with a local resident who needed a ride.

Astounding co-incidence and good to catch up, albeit just for a few minutes - before she had to head back and I had to take to the road for the 3 hour drive home.
