Things were going pretty well for the last day or so, even though the nights are still a bit troublesome, but tonight Gryphon was taken short and had to dash for the deck, down a few steps. Not a major problem, he got down them OK, even if he did leave a bit of a trail behind that needed cleaning. No, the problem started when he climbed up them again, got most of the way and his back legs gave out, and then he slid back down. The poor bugger was confused, but luckily didn't seem hurt. We got the sling out and helped him back up and inside.

It is obvious that we can't let him run free of a night. It is going to be lock-downs and alarm clocks for a while yet. This is such a vicious ailment, as he is so bright and well apart from his damn back end.
