NONE of these are intended for a pot incidentally - the Christmas Turkeys and the Christmas Ducks are now part of the flock in these parts.

Beside the Saxony's - you can see the difference in size. The 4 new girls are Aylesbury / Pekin crosses.

The Alpacas took on guarding responsibilities immediately.

Interestingly enough, they seem to be having a bit of a calming effect on the Saxonies - who are slightly less ratty of a night with the new ducks in with them.

They've found the dam now and seem to be settling into a good routine.
