Sunday is smoke free in the Dandenongs

This is one of our "smoke" free Sundays. I'd been looking forward to today - it's supposed to rain at some stage, but I thought first thing I'll get out and start packing up some of the garden equipment and generally getting more and more organised for the move.

Some ignorant, rude, sick, cruel bastard has lit a MASSIVE burnoff on the other side of the Patch Valley - probably somewhere on the Kallista-Emerald Road from the look of where the smoke is billowing from.

Of course nobody will do anything - nobody from the Council actually patrols or checks these new rules. So this week - of our 3 smoke free days a week - Tuesday somebody lit a fire on Greenslopes Road, Wednesday I had to "ask" somebody a couple of doors up on Kallista-Emerald Road to put the bloody fire OUT - although the smoke had already ruined a load of washing I was trying to get dry and now, that's it for Sunday as well - certainly I won't be able to get out and get anything packed up.

These burnoff laws will be hilarious once we don't live here anymore - roll on October and freedom from ignorant scum.
