bob, the default admin password is 'passwd'. You should, of course, change that as soon as you have installed and configured.

Simon,

We are currently looking at GIT repos, but we are likely to simply convert the SVN repo to GIT on SourceForge rather than yet another external repo.

Looks very good and definitely a big improvement. Only on the translation side I have a show-stopper. I've installed the German files from 2006 (are there any new once?). Working with the in-build translation function will repeating delete ALL translations, even if you have not changed anything, just by pressing submit. This is with a new installation. Any ideas?

We're looking forward to implementing the upgrade, but always have tweaks and changes we require to make it work for us. Will the github respository be updated to include this new version, as this would make integrating our changes easier?

MikeW, I had thought that the importer was under an open source license, in which case you should be able to request an earlier version that is compatible with dotProject, and get or pay someone to maintain a fork.

Hi Roderich,

Translations are unaffected, although the coverage for translations is now greater so that the translators will be able to provide a better result with this release.

Hello,
great stuff, you did a great job.
How about existing translations in 2.15. Are there any restrictions while running the update to 2.16 with existing translations?

sincerely

Hi,

I installed dotproject 2.1.5 on php5.3.6 and get huge warning message about;

Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Asia/Jakarta' for 'WIT/7.0/no DST' instead in /var/www/dotproject/lib/PEAR/Date/TimeZone.php on line 7225

.. in every layer on every pages.
And that's not happen when i install it using php5.2.x

how can i fix this?

Very nice!

I'm using it only for test due to some shortages when compared with 2.1.3. and some add-on modules (FlexGantt and Project Designer)

Is FlexGantt add-on module on yours plans to be included in the core as well?

Hello, I implemented this tool in our company and the work is ongoing. This is a great work. Thank you very much.

One of the issues I'm confronting now is that the department module is not still working. This will be great if you can continue developing more functionality (espeically regarding access groups for departments).

Thanks,

Massoud

Well, something is moving after all in DotProject. I was thinking to migrate to other systems not seeing any development.
Now, if you could only make a clearer permission system, it would be great.

Thank you for the update. I have used DotProject for years and was afraid it was no longer being updated. One thing I noticed after the update to 2.1.4, the calendars have all switched to European format (Monday is start of week instead of Sunday). I don't see an option to set it back to US format. Am I overlooking the setting or is this a permanent change?
