The demo seems to be offline since yesterday.

The demo’s been offline for a while now - we have problems with the version of PHP on the hosting site - so it will be offline until the release the guys are working on at the moment.

Can you give a time frame for the next release? I am interested in the demo.

We’re working on it at the moment, testing etc - but we don’t normally give out timeframes on releases because we have a volunteer team and therefore cannot guarantee resource availability.

Is dotProject still alive and kicking? I’m a bit worried about this wonderful project. I know this piece of software from the past and I liked it very much. It was just what we needed. We needed a webbased, simple project tool with LDAP.

Frank - as I said the maintenance guys are working on a release at the moment - we’re alive but short of time as has always been the way. The demo site will be down until next release is completed.

2 questions:
1) is the 2.x branch going to get updated at some point so it does not break under php5.3, now that session_register throws deprecation errors? or is that something i should look into doing on my own? (related is that 2.1.3 installer only looks for php 4.1, but actually requires 5.0)

2) is dp3 at the stage where it is workable, despite needing much more work before release? (timeframe not important)

As of last night we’ve had some changes in the dev team again so we’ll spend some time over the weekend reviewing what’s been going on with the 2 release and what needs to be done to move it forward.
