Preparations for 2.1 Release

The more eagle eyed of our participants will have undoubtedly noticed a flurry of activity on the bugs listings in the last few days http://bugs.dotproject.net

We're lurching back into activity and getting the 2.1 release organised. These releases take quite a while to do - actually they can frequently take hours so to explain the process we've added this page:

YOu say you are going to release version 2.1 but
that version is already online (demo).

The demo site says:

Version 2.1-rc1

rc1 is a release candidate.

We hesitate to give dates as people just end up disappointed when we can’t hit them. We’re actively working on it at the moment and if you keep an eye on the bug site you’ll see when we don’t have anymore open in 2.x then we’re to the stage we’re we are testing / getting the packaging together.

Typo3’s sponsorship meant that they have paid us a monthly donation in exchange for the link on our page. It’s very kind of them and we’re very very grateful as it’s been put to excellent use covering the costs associated with moving the dotproject.net infrastructure to a bigger hosting package.
