The downside to owning animals is always when they die. Last Thursday night our beautiful beautiful baby boy kitty got out onto the road and was hit and killed.  Devastating.  Firstly because it's such a pointless way for him to die, but mostly because we know we obviously didn't do our job in keeping him safe (escape holes are now sealed but other than we think we can keep Lady Penelope safe it's no consolation).

We miss him dreadfully -
