After a lot of thought and some ummming and errring we've gone with a multi-stage alternative energy plan.  Stage One is a fully grid interactive small Solar System designed to at least drop the power bills a tad.  Later stages will include extra installations of solar and wind and ultimately non-grid interactive systems.  But everybody's got to start somewhere and a few weeks ago - we started here!

It's rather nice to be able to wander past the inverter and hear it humming away during the day!
